Future DJ is a DJ mixing app that allows you to mix like a pro dj in no time. This is not a toy, its a full-blown software that you can use to mix for an entire party if you want to. Future DJ raises the standards through unique features such as automatic BPM detection, beat-matching and seamless looping.

You can access directly your songs on the device, no need to import anything or use complicated desktop software.

+ classic DJ setup with 2 decks and mixer
+ fully manual or automatic mixing
+ pitch/speed control and crossfader
+ one-click beat-matching and sync
+ seamless intelligent looping and skip-beat
+ automatic BPM detection (grid like) on the device
+ effects, eqs, filters
+ vinyl simulation including scratch, pitch, reverse play, brake, spin
+ separate headphones/speakers output (using a simple stereo splitter)
+ iPod library browsing system with search
+ professional CUE point functions including hot Cue-Play
+ pitch bend (using the pitch sliders)
+ MotionPlaying™ - place your iPhone/iPod on a turntable and scratch any song
+ extensive settings
+ Built-in help

Tips for improving performance:
+ use a fast device (like iPhone 4/4S, iPad, iPod Touch 4th gen or better)
+ turn on Flight Mode when doing live mixes
+ if you need both speakers and headphones preview, use a special inexpensive adapter (called a Splitter) that splits the headphones output so that the left channel will go to the speakers (master output) and right channel will go to the headphones (monitor)

Pros and cons of Future DJ app for iPhone and iPad

Future DJ app good for

As an old DJ who hasnt been in the game since vinyls and (at the most recent) the CDJ500S, this app is seriously lots of fun. If you have the basic DJ skills, you can make some excellent mixes right away. If youre a newcomer, you can still have fun. One thing though, after playing with it for 4 hours nonstop I decided to check out the auto mix feature and… crash over crash over crash. Not great. To be fair, the auto mix is pretty pointless if you can actually play, but I can imagine if youre throwing a party and dont have time, it could be useful. Anyway, auto mix is a crash command. Shame. Apart from that: good job on the app, its pretty much the killer.
Good fun dj app but the sound crashes alot and I cant find away to exit the app compleatly with out removing it from my multitasker :s kind of inoying :s
I was really looking forward to working with this app. Two things that I find a setback are being unable to shut down the app, and not being able to access shared music like Apple Remote can. Theres only so much music you can gave on an iphone. Fix those, and youll have a real winner.
Ive tried alot of dj apps , and futuredj really kicks a55 , best 1.99 Ive spent , cant wait for more updates with better eq / fx controls , sync works great!
Been a while searching to find this and its exactly what I needed! very well made and works wonderfully
great, full-featured DJ-ing app. use tracks from your own music library (without needing to import them). auto-beat-matching and effects, but the interface doesnt really allow for scratching like some other apps with turntable-based interfaces. as a result, probably best for house, trance, techno, etc.

Some bad moments

This is a great idea. Unfortunately, its not worth the 3.99 that I paid for it. Two main reasons. You cant build a playlist as far as I can tell. And it crashes if you unknowingly choose a file with DRM or an incompatible filetype. Of course theres no way to know until you click on a song and try it.
App wont shut down, bad sound quality, app shuts on certain songs. This app is garbage,I should have Believed the peoples who already got Ripped off.
Interface and functionality are ok but all the extra clicks pops and dropouts are not acceptable for performance. Also a pitch lock feature would be excellent for those who like to mix harmonically.
As the title states; save your money. Instead buy Algoriddim, Deejay 2 Has all the same features and actually works. The only thing I enjoy about this app are the different FX; flanger, echo, etc. They have more than DJ 2, but DJ 2 allows you to keep the fx on rather than pressing and holding an fx pad. The cues do not work on this app, there is a delay- so if youre using this to mix be prepared for that. There is no STOP button, so the music will play nonstop when you try to select a spot in the waveform area. When recording and using FX the BPM is altered when you export the recording from this app to any other app that reads bpm. Not sure why. All in all- I found this app ridiculous to use functionality wise, although I do like some of the features. This app is not worth 7.99, or even the 3.99 it was previously marked at. Id ask for my money back but know that wont happen. As I stated before, save your money on this and buy Algoriddim DJ 2- unless you feel like paying 7.99 for FX from this app which you can use on acapellas and then carry over to DJ2, again the bpm is altered when you do, so its basically not worth it is what Im trying to say.
Nice App but unfortunately not enough developed compared with its price. Cue is not working, no volume available, crash on many songs that have just song name but not artist, no possibility to record the mix, loop function should be improved. I hope developer will try to correct this problems otherwise this app in not worth its price.
Really like the way screen real-estate has been used. Makes sense with all the needed features, without being too crowded. Pulled off some great synced mixes, and you can split the stereo channel into two mono channels for headphone cueing. Nice!!
